Like a whirlwind, the 60th Presidential Inauguration has passed and the Trump Administration has hit the ground sprinting ahead. Unlike the 45th Presidential administration, Trump’s second term seems to have its ducks in a row, waiting, perhaps seething at the opportunity to take action immediately.

If you follow my blog on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll find short, typically recent, summaries of President Trump’s major moves in the last day and half. While I will repost some of the images from those social media accounts, the purpose of this post isn’t to reiterate or summarize everything that has happened so far, but rather to take a prophetic temperature check of what the next 4 years have to offer.

If you’re a fan of A&E’s hit reality detective drama, you will recognize the title of this post. The show’s title is a constant reminder of how essential the first two days are to detective who are conducting an active murder investigation. While these two days are not as crucial as a detecting the cause of an intentional homicide, I believe these first two days of the Trump Administration have absolutely – and intentionally – showed us exactly what we can expect from the most powerful office in the world.

President Trump, The Promise Keeper

As sensical as it may sound, it’s sadly quite unusual for a President to be so keen on keeping their campaign promises. Especially this soon. President Trump has not only shown his willingness to keep his promises but his knack for carrying them out right away.

Starting just minutes into his swearing-in ceremony speech, President Trump declared a National Emergency on the US-Mexico border and a National Emergency concerning energy, pushing hard for energy independence. These continued promises were carried out immediately- even prior to swearing in if you consider the Israel-Gaza ceasefire – with dozens of executive orders signed publicly to undue President Biden’s nefarious actions. One of those Executive Orders was directed at government backed free speech restrictions, a direct challenge to the unAmerican steps taken by President Obama and President Biden in the social media world. Notably, the powerful figures of Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook/Instagram), Jeff Bezos (Amazon/Washington Post), and Elon Musk (Tesla/X/SpaceX) stood behind President Trump in support and agreement.

Promise keeping continued throughout the day into the second day with a nod to the Libertarians, a re-focus on storm ravaged North Carolina, a show of force for the Pro-Life stalwarts, freeing January 6 attendees, and slashing ineffective government programs. Remember, we are only three dozen hours in as I write this… to be published at the 48th hour. There are more promises to carry-out of course but the precedent is looking pretty sweet.

Honoring Loyalty

Looking back on Trump’s first Administration, we could see a notable amount of firings. Trump isn’t coy about telling us why. He went in to the political game fairly naive. He put trust in many people and organizations that were simply untrustworthy, un-loyal to his agenda, and divided on American ideals. President Trump spent a significant amount of time fighting the bureaucracy that is supposed to assist the Executive Branch in carrying out the Commander-in-Chief’s duties.

This time, Trump has strategically positioned people loyal to his agenda and has made masterful moves (dare I say “4-D Chess”) to insure that the bureaucracy that hampered him is severely in the past, is no longer an obstacle but rather an ally. President Trump legally and thoughtfully penalized a number of security clearances who lied to the American people and effectively conducted election intereference by falsely attributing Biden’s son’s laptop as “Russian propaganda.” He has placed fiercely intelligent and strong figures in powerful positions who, though they have powerful places, focused on decentralizing and limiting the powers of the offices they hold. These figures include Kash Patel, Marco Rubio, Pam Bondi, Susie Wiles and more.

Winning Where it Counts & Wherever the heck We Want

“You’ll get tired of winning.” Here is a promise I am not sure President Trump can keep. From destroying DEI Programs, to Tax Breaks for Homeschoolers, School Choice Programs, to ending Federal recognition of gender bending ideals, the wins keep coming. Saying goodbye to extra-judicial world political structures (the WHO and Paris Climate Accords) have been extremely important too when it comes to America’s sovereignty.

Hilariously, the wins also include seemingly tongue-in cheek, get under your skin, executive actions including the return to Mount McKinley’s (the mountain formerly and temporarily known as Denali) and the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Ironically, it’s the later that truly is so sensical (as the Gulf itself touches North / Central / South America). It’s just, in some ways so unnecessarily petty and yet so necessarily awesome, that you can’t help but laugh at it in agreement.

Now let’s do good on that “No taxes on overtime” promise, shall we? We are waiting eagerly!

A “No Holds Barred” Ideological Conservatism

I have a love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with Libertarianism – especially as a party. I can talk about that reasoning another time. They love to say “what good are conservatives if they do not conserve anything.” I think they take the name too literal. I am not afraid to call myself a “Conservative” like some may be. Of course, I add “Constitutional conservative” to the front of that name which perhaps makes it a little more tolerable even for myself.

Make no mistake, the President’s administration is steeped deeply in Conservative ideology. We don’t merely “conserve” our ideals, we can uproot, reset, install and transform the government to our liking. But it is also important to point out that this modern version of Constitutional conservatism has elements of Libertarianism (like it or not) and populism. This was necessary. Trump the candidate, awakened a fierceness in the average Republican candidate. He has helped 2016-2020 Conservatives find their spine. He has helped them to stop fearing the foolish name calling they endure (and continue to endure) by Leftists. Now, instead of freezing in fear, we simply move forward with our agenda.

In other words, Conservatives found their “cojones.” Whereas past Republicans were willing to play the game of tradition and precedent, Leftists were more than willing to kick us in the teeth while we were down. Leftist wanted to “pack the court,” “end the filibuster,” and make DC or Puerto Rico states in order to install a permanent Democrat supermajority. Republicans and Conservatives had no answers other to cling to their traditions and use history to explain why these were bad idea to people unwilling to listen or learn from history. But now, we are more than willing to play hard ball. Conservatives have found a voice. Willing to endure being called “transphobes” and “racists” for their willingness to acknowledge the reality of two genders or the belief in defendable country borders. We now say, “so what” to the Left’s accusations (wrong as they might be) and simply carry-on with our work. Instead of whining about ballot harvesting (which needs to end) we engage in it while it exists so that we stop losing the upper hand in the election battles at the state levels.

Politics is dirty. While we don’t have to stoop to their evil level, we must be willing to throw our gloves in the ring and punch back. Trump, imperfect as he is, has been the perfect coach for that. Without Trump, there is no Ron DeSantis. Without Trump, there is no fiery Ted Cruz. Without Trump, Republicans would not have so many excellent candidates lined up for 2028.

There are Angels in the Details

Like I mentioned up above, President Trump’s second administration did a lot of learning from the first. Importantly, the Republican Party united behind the former President as a truly viable and effective candidate, offering him everything he needed start off at a dead sprint.

In that running start, you could see the Angel (or “devil”) in the details of each of his Executive Orders and policies being carried out. They are not merely edicts for his Executive Branch to “act now,” they are very thoughtful and intentional. Take for example the Executive Order to recognize “Male and Female” only:

The not so subtle socio-ideological view that men and women are human being at “Conception” is an enormous boost to the pro-life agenda. Further, the very same Executive Order is incredibly detailed in it’s affront to the idea of “gender ideology” preferring to use “sexes” in its descriptions for “male and female” as a referendum against John William Money’s perverted, demonic, and pedophilic experiments and ideas.

Same can be said about President Trump’s Executive order to protect the US from Foreign Terrorist and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats. Consider how this past summer, how many of these so-called enlightened college campus protesters openly supported Hezbollah and Hamas (which are recognized as terror organizations by the US Government).

Many of these students were recognized to be activists and instigators, many of them even foreign students and activists on visas. This executive order permits the deportation of these individual for there mere support of hostile entities. A novel idea. There is even as executive order to make government buildings more atheistically pleasing…an ideological nod to the philosophies spoken about by the gentleman from The Daily Wire and the Salem Radio Network.

Time will tell if this is America’s new “Golden Era.” What we do know is this, this is Conservative Right’s greatest opportunity to establish itself firmly in the eyes of all Americans, even those unwilling to acknowledge it, as the side that is able and willing to restore, resurrect, and redeem the “American experiment.” Of course, all of this cannot be possible without Almighty God’s good grace, like that which he has already shown by His “millimeter miracle” in Pennsylvania.

As with President Biden. Pray for our President. Pray for America. May America bless God.
